The challenge
Six acquisitions meant six telematics systems, none of which talked to each other. Nobody could answer 'where is this load' without three phone calls.
What we did
- 01Built an ingestion layer normalising six telematics feeds into one event stream
- 02Modelled a shared domain for loads, legs and assets across all regions
- 03Shipped a control-tower interface designed with the dispatchers who would live in it
- 04Added route optimisation once the data was trustworthy — not before
- 05Migrated region by region, with each one running in parallel for four weeks
The outcome
Dispatchers work from a single screen, empty miles dropped 18%, and the group closed its month-end reporting four days earlier.
